I can't believe my eyes when I first saw a carinderia type of place serving traditional Thai food along my street! I had to ask myself if I'm still in Carmona.🤔 They only opened last year and I have been meaning to try them for the longest time but my strong will to lose weight resisted.. until yesterday.
The signage says the menu is being prepared by a chef from Singapore. I'm not sure how that will help them promote the authenticity of their dishes. One thing's for sure tho, it got me really curious.
They have a limited space that could probably fit more or less 10 people. I was their third customer that day. I ordered Tom Yum Chicken & Mushroom soup (60 pesos) and Boneless Fried Chicken in Mango Sauce (59 pesos). Yup, ang mura!
The tom yum soup was sour and spicy with enough number of chicken meat sitting at the bottom. Eminent taste of lemon grass but it lacks a bit of savory flavor to push the dish to the next level.
The boneless fried chicken had a crispy skin with tender meat. A bit starchy but I liked it. The mango sauce was just a lil sweet and sour which made the dish more enjoyable to eat.
Not the best Thai fix you could find but it's a thumb's up for the price and location (at least for me) . I would definitely visit them again and try the rest of their dishes!
