The chicken was great, it can even rival my love for Kenny Roger's Roasters. It was packed with spices and cooked that the skin was crisp and the meat bite-worthy.

Zabo rice was so-so.

If you think you've tried everything there is to try about roast chicken, you're dead wrong. You HAVE TO TRY ZABO CHICKEN! I swear, it's a whole new experience. The chicken is coated in a million herbs and spices which gives it a distinct taste.

We usually just get a whole chicken (p480) with no rice for an attempt at healthy eating. Haha. But they also have rice and quarter chicken meal at P185. 128077

Lousy falafels. Burnt and barely held together. They need to rethink their recipe. Chicken was just ok for me. Staff service also lacking.

For the love of Mediterranean flavors!

P420 for a whole chicken stuffed with different spices. Delicious and cost-effective option. Serving size is already good for four. We paid P29 each for our rice to get it unlimited with a lot of options: Zabo Spicy Chicken Rice, Carrot Rice, Brown Rice, Garlic Rice and Steamed.

A must try! A healthier and practical alternative.

Exhausted times a million from class, i thought i would treat myself to an actual meal and because i was craving for chicken, zabo it was. 128514

I didn't know the place was mediterranean so when i entered i was overwhelmed in a really good way. You can just smell all the spices mixing in the air. It was a really good smell that made me hungry even more. Haha. Being new to the place, i tried their main dish, a quarter roast chicken with 18 spices.

Okay i was in a hurry to read the family code of the philippines so i had this to go. (This is also why there is no picture of the actual chicken) Here are my reasons for really liking my experience:

1. Choice of rice! Zabo is big on healthy so they have plain rice, brown rice, curry infused rice etcetc. To further my mediterranean experience, i opted for the curry infused one. Admittedly, i think the tumeric(not super sure) was a bit overpowering but it was still really yummy!
2. Since i got take out, i thought i'd have to choose only one out of their six sauces but the girl asked me if i wanted all six. 128561 all six. 128561 for take out. Yes, that was an option. 128525128525 i told her that was too much but also that i wanted to try four though. I honestly forgot what i got but i remember loving the sweet chili one and the lemon curd! 128525
3. You can legit tell that the chicken was flavored with actual spices and not artificial ones. Heck you can actually see the spices. Now im not exactly a good cook and i can't name all the spices but i was pretty impressed! 128514 they blended really well! 128514
4. Super juicy roasted chicken 9786

I checked other looloo reviews and they were pretty bad 128542 but i don't know, friends. I really loved the food and i feel like this place deserves more credit!! 1285229786

The restaurant smelled amazing. Chicken, spices, anything Middle Eastern.

My brother ordered their quarter chicken. It tasted decent, not really that special. Although I liked their curry-infused rice. Also, it was inclusive of unlimited rice which gives a variety of rice to choose from.

I ordered their beef rice bowl, which I thought was 'meh,' and their falafel that tasted burnt. I'm not even exaggerating about the latter part, we even asked the staff if it really looked and tasted like that, they said yes. 128557

(As I'm writing this we're eating at a different place because mom and I got so upset that we decided to have second dinner. A review of this place in a few minutes.)

Chicken was dry but serving is big, beef in the rice bowl bland. The rice, hmm, not a fan of it. I guess we're not in the same wavelength when it comes to food taste. Anyway, it's worth a try. :)

Zabo Chicken occupies a lot of space at the Jazz Mall so I don't think getting seated is a problem.

Most of the menu items are really chicken dishes which showcase their roast chicken which they say is cooked with 18 spices. For me though, the rosemary stood out a lot more than the other spices. The chicken wasn't freshly cooked from the looks of it. It wasn't hot at all. Half a chicken with a cup of rice is 240 pesos, add the 29 peso unlimited rice buffet option and you have a meal that's good for 2!

There was too much turmeric in the rice though 128532 I couldn't even taste the chicken anymore because the flavor from the rice was so strong.

Service was great and fast. Overall it was ok, food is affordable so that's a reason to visit again I guess 128522

Ordered a whole chicken which is good for 4 persons (P420) plus additional P30/person for the unli rice! Almost P150 for a chicken + unli rice.

They have lots of different rice to choose from, carrot, original, spicy, garlic and (I forgot the other one 9996️) I had those 4 kinds of rice which I remembered.

They also have sauces for the chicken, sweet, sweet and spicy, and of course gravy.

Sulit! 128513128513127881

Warm interiors and value for money food options. Be sure to ask for their garlic paste as a good partner for your dish! They serve bottomless coffee!

Like most soft opening of restaurants, this one has lots to improve on. First, food: I don't like the beef! LOL. Well, I should have ordered the chicken. Well going back to the beef, it's too dry. I was just really starving that I forgot to take a picture. I don't like the drink I ordered (iced tea). I don't know if it's the paper straw or in the drink itself but it tasted somewhat moldy. Second the service: somewhat chaotic... I ordered a bottomless tea and it wasn't served until I asked for it. When I asked for a refill, the waiter refused to give me one as he said I ordered a la carte. I looked at my bill and indeed I paid for a bottomless one! Apparently, they serve the bottomless one in a different type of glass which I was served otherwise. So keep your bill, they get confused of the orders!
Enfin, my first experience wasn't good. But I might come back after a few months perhaps hehe and probably try the CHICKEN!
