Very cute airport. Small and vintage style. I cannot retrieve my photo here already.

But whenever the flights are delayed expect that you can't sit down.

It's a gateway to Borneo and Malaysia and nearby country in the south. Its old and need for renovation.

I must say that the waiting area has drastically improved since I saw it some three years ago. The system for ticketing and boarding passes still needs improvement (what is the point of mobile check-in if they still prefer to print boarding passes? Duh).

There were masseuses now that offered quick back rubs (which I really really wanted but could not get because I was typing like a mad woman on my laptop to meet a deadline!).

The food choices and stalls are better...

Security is also very robotic... Not very friendly security people.

I would not want to stay at the airport too long though. It's not a place that looks or feels (based on the chairs) comfortable enough for me to opt to go to the airport early. I would rather wait at Garden Orchid Hotel (five minutes away) than stay and wait at the airport.

For my first time in Mindanao, I was so glad to have been able to land at Zamboanga's airport. Though not very modern-looking, it's very representative of the land and the culture, which makes looking at it, quite nice.

The view coming in to the airport is also quite fantastic, which makes the experience even more amazing.

The airport is quite spacious, and clean. The departure area, though spacious, didn't have enough seats for the number of people waiting. There seems to also be a limited number of shops open, which is not entirely bad as the airpot is a short distance away from a row of restaurants (where we had dinner to while the time away after checking-in).

I didn't get to go around and check the other amenities and the bathrooms so I have no comments for those parts.

Arrival hall does not have aircon but it has a conveyor for the luggages and what nots. The departure hall is airconditioned though.

Their weighing scale is not computerized unlike other international airports outside Metro Manila.

Appealing to Mayor Lobregat. Please install some generator for the conveyor and AC. remember, it is still called Zambo International Airport.
