Zensho has been around Tomas Morato for a long time. This Japanese restaurant has become popular for its all-you-can-eat ala carte buffet. We thus tried what it had to offer in one of our foodcrawls.
We sampled the Oyster Motoyaki, a succulent plate of baked oysters topped with premium butter and cheese. These were tasty as expected. The oysters were fresh. Also, the butter topping was apt for supplementing the seafood flavor. Our seafood adventure didn't end there. We had their Ebi Tempura, which was fried to a perfect crisp. The breading and the shrimp were very much tasty. There was not so much oiliness; and the meal was aplenty.
I also tried some of their crabstick salad. The dish was topped crabstick, cabbage, and their special mayo. It was also garnished with mango slices. The mixture of salty and sweet tastes was truly heaven sent. It was also very pleasing to the eye due to the variegated color combination.
The main course was an entire plate filled with their steaming hot sukiyaki steak. It was a steaming hot pan fried beef delight that comes with asparagus. This piece of prime beef truly made my day. The meal came with a bowl of of their tasty Mixed Rice.
Zensho has truly continued to excel in their quest to provide customers with freshly-cooked ala carte food.

Celebrated my daughter's moving up day by having a lunch at Zensho.tuna and salmon sashimi (not in pic) ebi tempura and ika fry (not in pic) were ok but we loved the oysters and the US Beef teppanyaki. Yakimeshi was just ok. Ordered Tori Karaage for my daughter and it was not worth it. Still love the place. Including the pandan juice. Dessert was so ordinary.

Craved for Japanese food the other day so I invited my friend over at Zensho, a simple Japanese buffet restaurant that indeed serves good Jap food.
We opted for the eat-all-you-can for only P795 but with all the tax and service charge it became P899 per head if I remember correctly. They have an area where they cook right in front of you however the area was reserved so we had a different table instead.
Good food but service was way too slow and badly needs improvement. We checked a lot of boxes in the menu choices but the other orders did not come at all! Good thing we were so stuffed and satisfied with the taste of the food we didn't bother to complain about it anymore.
Place wasn't also that inviting. My friend just suggested this so I had the chance to visit. I didn't even know it was a Japanese resto until he said so. It was never an option for me to dine there ever since so it was a surprise to me that people flock here to dine. Place was full when we came in all fairness.
Will go back soon here with my family.

We chose buffet instead of ala carte cause I've seen the buffet price is 795 plus 10% service charge all eat and drink all u can. I ask the waiter if the ala carte and buffet are the same when cooking and preparing it to the table. I asked Kung pareho Lang ng luto... Waiter said yeS so I assume the food is presentable nice and yummy since they serve it ala carte style.
I was wrong...
food was not delish. The salmon sashimi and tuna was not fresh at all! Nakakatakot kainin kc Baka may parasite pa dun or Baka sumakit tummy namin it was raw after all!
The only food was good is ebi tempura it wasn't look nice the way u expect tempura should be but its delish naman and the fried gyoza masarap naman. The rest 🏻 the safest drink is ice tea... Or soft drink when u go for a buffet. It's best to pick ala carte cause I think the serving and preparations are way better than buffet. Compare it to sambokojin or even yakimix zensho needs improvement!

Quick fix when we're craving Japanese food! Buffet price @795+ is a little steep but everything is fresh Sashimi, Ebi Tempura, Beef teppan and baked Oysters are my fave here
🏼
They need to improve their service though, pretty slow sometimes Price also includes unli iced tea and dessert. No WIFI

A Japanese a la carte and eat all you can restaurant. The food taste is good and the quality is fine enough specially the beef tenderloin teppan. the ebi tempura is small but the taste makes it big they also have oyster teppan and different kind of maki and sushi. the price is reasonable for JAPANESE EAT ALL YOU CAN.

Order all you can. Although the real price is 795 per head compared to the one placed in looloo which is 695. No food is superb but it's still great. Try and leave some for dessert. Get the mango graham for dessert. Oh before I forget, pace yourself!

My friends and I together with my boyfriend ate here last Sunday.
We ate the oysters with cheese, oysters, sashimi, teppanyaki and sushi. It was good...
Until 3 of us felt sick and feverish the next day.
It was a bad case of food poisoning and I still have it today.
:( maybe it was the oysters.

At 695 (exclusive of service change and tax) you can satisfy your cravings for japanese food. Eat and drink all you can ala carte style. Hustle-free and rest assured your food is freshly cooked. Picture shows my 4th order of their mango graham.
Heads up, make sure you tell the waiter for how many each of your orders are. In our case, we ordered, crispy california maki, tuna sashimi, beef steak and ebi tempura. To our surprise order was good for 3. With this, we were not able to try other food.

My parents had their date night dinner here and they like japanese food so much that they took me along with them three days after. We came here for a late lunch and everyone else just finished their meals so we had the whole restaurant to ourselves.
It's a japanese sit down buffet and it's worth almost 800 per person at lunch time. All orders on the buffet menu comes in a small plate so you can have a taste of all the other japanese dishes you're craving for. They offer unlimited drinks to come with it too!
I ate 2 out of 4 orders of tempura (5 pieces per order). The shrimp was very fresh, the batter wasn't that thick and it wasn't too oily.
I also ordered their tonkatsu (about 50 g) it was crispy on the outside but real chewy on the inside without sacrificing the stringy texture of the pork.
They had a generous serving of beef yakiniku (about 1 lb) that was sautéed in teppanyaki sauce and golden garlic bits. It was too savory for me but it's perfect with bowls of plain rice (which were sadly not japanese). To boost the protein in our order, we had this with sukiyaki soup and the beef strips in there were so much I forgot it was soup.
They also offer two kinds of sashimi in one order, which are salmon and tuna. I enjoyed the salmon one more.
There were a lot of things on their menu that I wanted to order like ramen an desserts but I was so stuffed from the beef the I no longer had room for it.
There were some orders that weren't served to us like curry tonkatsu and another beef dish. My parents said they experienced this mishap the last time they were here too but they waived it off since we were all full.
For excellent japanese cuisine, their buffet price is really cheap!

the food is okay.. actually it's good.. but we got a really bad service! my first time to experience waiters who are not accomodating.. (calling them but won't look back, not smiling at us even though we asked politely, my boss even gave a tip when he heard us commenting about the waiter is not polite to us, but still there's no change of the not so good atmosphere.) oh well, i just hope this won't happen again since this japanese resto served us really good food.

Poor service and the gyudon was too bland. Too pricey also.

Bought ensogo buffet vouchers @500 and the place was packed! Guess Everyone was in a hurry to use the vouchers which expires end of the month I made reservations but still ended up 3rd on the wait list... Was only able to get seats before 1 pm
We're regular clients here and I've always loved the food ordered our usual favorites, sashimi, tempura, super yummy beef teppan, cuttlefish, baked oysters, sukiyaki, Kani salad etc. Everything they served was
Would have given the perfect 5 stars but the service was really slow didn't help that it was full house with people still lining up outside! Seems lots of people bought those vouchers
Just wish they hired more servers/staff to accommodate the weekend crowd
it was quite chaotic actually, we finished past 2pm and the place was still full...haha

Sorry for the crappy photo.
Zensho serves unlimited authentic japanese food which they cook in teppanyaki tables. Everything is unlimited but you have to order it ala carte style. Once you get seated, they'll give you a pen and menu that looks like a check list. All you have to do is put a check mark on the food you'd like to order and without even saying anything, they'll get that piece of sheet back once you're done. We were so surprised that when they served the food, everything was good for six people already (we're 6 by the way) without even asking us if everyone likes to be served the same food. Some of us don't eat sushi and shrimp tempura because we're allergic to it. Sana man lang they informed us once you put a check mark on a particular dish, they're going to serve it to everyone. SMH. The food was undeniably good. The only problem was that they served a LOT agad agad that we weren't able to try out other dishes since we felt full already first round palang. Choices wasn't that wide especially the dessert. They only have three, mango graham, fruit salad and buco sherbet which is just crushed ice with buco shavings by the way. 795+ service charge wasn't sulit at all
