I would like to start my review by telling everyone that THEY HAVE THE HEARTIEST AND MEATIEST BAKED LAMB LASAGNA EVER!!!! okay, but let me share what my dining experience was like.

I was skeptical at first because of it's warm setting and the lack of photos in their menu when you're seated at the table, but still, I decided to sit back and just enjoy! It was hard to choose what to eat at first but thank God their staff are actually WELL KNOWLEDGED about their menu. I wanted something with white sauce.. But seems like their pasta menu is mostly tomato sauce except for the very interesting fetuccinni with sea urchin. Their staff suggested that if I really wanted white sauced pasta, they can cook some carbonara for me! So nice! But of course, I didnt want to cause hassle, so I went for the baked lamb lasagna.

My brother had the braised lamb shank with pimiento rice. The lamb shank was good and the rice was plated nicely. My mom's chicken galantino had a mixture of sour and sweet and it was weird at first, but I think it's good! We also had their caesar salad, which for me isn't really worth it considering the price, and it's nothing really special except for the cheese they used.

My baked lamb lasagna would probably the best of all our orders. It was so meaty, and so yummy!! Serving was BIG and it was so good I finished it. It could do with more cheese but I really liked it nevertheless. I would recommend it to anyone.

For dessert, I may have regretted ordering the dessert sampler because I think I was paying for the wonderful plating... It wasnt really special. And their lava cake was too grainy and there wasnt any warm chocolate oozing from the inside...maybe it's too small. The chocolate bar was yummy though.

Zuni, overall, for me is a so-so restaurant, I wasnt really impressed with the food, except for the fact that I loved my baked lamb lasagna. I don't know if we ordered the wrong dishes? But I would like to try their other entrees next time, because I think theres more to what we had last night. I wish I ordered the banana souffle instead. If only I'm not one to shy away from seafood and tomato sauce...

Food is of course expensive, but serving is big. Orange juice costed around 250! But ambiance is nice and servers are very very very nice. Had a very pleasant dinner.

If I am only judging it for the lasagna, I would give it 3.5, but I think for now since I wasnt really impressed, I'll go for 3.0.

Zuni's warm and charming atmosphere is really impressive. I think the incongruity with its surroundings even adds to the charm because you don't expect it. The interior is like a modern, upscale French/Mediterranean restaurant.

There are a few vegan options for salad and pasta though nothing is marked as such, (so you have to ask), no vegan desserts, and last time I was there, some mysterious bits of what looked like Pancetta (the waiter said he didn't know what it was) and a single long non-vegan noodle made its way into my friend's dish but it was easily separable. I mentioned because if they're reading this - please take greater care to separate the ingredients.

Our waiter was knowledgeable and gave us recommendations on the food. The bruschetta was nice with the olives. I'm not a fan of olives normally but it worked well with the sweet tomatoes and aromatic basil of the bruschetta.

My Papardelle Steak with Truffle Oil pasta was perfectly al dente. The Porcini mushroom sauce in the Ravioli dish could've used more salt and the table salt was there to do just that. For my entree, I ordered the Chilean Seabass in Mustard Beurre Blanc sauce and it did not disappoint. Imagine chewing on a fluffy cloud packed with bold flavor--it was like eating the most delicious air! They also have an amazing raw oyster selection, great wine list, and top-notch meat dishes.

Prices are reasonable and the salads are huge, you can share one. For dessert, I had the Coffee Crunch Souffle with Banana Caramel ala mode and it was phenomenal!

The quality of the food is high and the portions are just right. You can't go wrong here. Anything on the menu is perfectly put together with great care. Ingredients are simple but dishes are complex in their simplicity. Prices are great for the quality and portion of what you get.

I highly recommend Zuni to anyone visiting Greenbelt or Makati area.

Cheers,
Mickey

You'll know a good steak when you taste one, and this is. Superb service too.

My friend and I were looking for a dessert place and we stopped by Zuni. We ordered creme brulee and peach baked alaska and both desserts were really good! Just had the right sweetness to it. They have a promo now that you get free coffee with your dessert. They accommodated my friend's request to have iced coffee instead of their regular brewed coffee. Ambience is nice.. So relaxing to sit outside. Service is great! No need to ask the staff to refill your glass. They pay very good attention to their customers. Will come back for sure!

This is one the best restaurants in Greenbelt. I just can't remember what I had on my first visit. It was like 2 years ago. I am sorry about that.

Anyway, I went there for some happy ending. Tried one of their Soufflés and it was good! Good for sharing. I think it was less than 300 pesos. :)

I shall visit again. Try their wines and specials.

Until my next food discovery.

Princess

Zuni is always a good idea! It's packed even on weekdays.

This two types of shrimps entree is really good but might be too small a serving for some. I had half a Zuni salad (one of the two top selling salads) before this so I was already half full. The one at the middle looks weird but it was so good! It tasted like fried mashed potatoes! crunchy outside, mushy inside. Y expectedly good!

Had to be with the oldies while they celebrate with a fancy booze because movie was still 2 hours awaiting.

But am glad I did because I found a love. their cheese puffs wrapped in filo pastry was amazing!!!! and the cheese pizza too. 128540 and they weren't that purse slashing.

I just have to rate this a 4 since all i've tried are their appetizers, I need to have to taste the big show before I can give them perfect stars.

Stopped here on before heading home so I only ordered one thing - I forgot the exact title of the dish, but jt was a Truffle Risotto with crab and artichoke (P500+). Beautifully creamy and flavorful, there was a slight metal aftertaste but I didn't mind much. You just knew from the taste and texture of it that this is quality, fine dining. You just KNOW the other dishes will taste fantastic as well.

The only problem was I was dining alone and the serving turned out to be too much for one person. I was full to puking by the time I finished it but I didn't want to waste a bite because it tasted so good.

The service was excellent as well - waiters were very attentive and fast, served me fresh pepper, refilled my water before I had to ask, and about 3 different ones stopped by my table just to ask how I was enjoying my meal.

The spread for the complimentary bread was delicious, I think it had olive oil, tomatoes and capers. I could get full just on that.

The only downside is the price, but given that Zuni si fine dining, it's exactly the price you would expect from a place like this.

I can't wait to go back.

We had dinner at Zuni for my brother's 18th birthday.

We each had our own dish. I had the lamb lasagna. Holy. Crap. It was like tasting heaven on earth. I kid you not. If you're a pasta lover like myself, then go for it. NO RAGRETS! (Not one letter HAHA)

My mom got the Caesar salad. I had a leaf or two and it wasn't at all bad. I usually can't stand Caesar salads and prefer my salads with vinaigrettes but it was good.

I forget what entree my brother had but it was so good and so soft. It's the kind that's just right. I think it was Lamb Two Ways.

They have a lot of drinks available but we only ordered a strawberry daiquiri. It had a lot more alcohol than I expected.

Overall, this place was great. The food was perfect, the service was fast, and the staff are so accommodating. I don't think I ever had to ask them to refill my drink. They just did it.

Definitely coming back here again and I'm definitely going to try some steaks, but I think I'll reserve Zuni for special occasions (like my 21st!)

Appetizers:
Roasted bone marrow with salsa verde and escargo Provençal sound so
Yummy ... Well it's good but reading the description sounded way delicious than the actual
Food128541

Crostini Sampler ... Liver pate with foie gras , Spanish sardines with caramelized onions & boiled egg, salmon gravlax with lumpfish caviar... U see the description
Sounded so fancy .. Most of my faves mix together ... But The flavors missing 128552128561 it's blunt and sigh ... Maybe I was expecting too much?128530
... Just the salmon tasted like salmon... I was so disappointed128542

Main Entree:

Korobuta porkchop... I love this .. Yum yum... Juicy meat with salted sweet potato sidings with lots of caramelized onion... Mmmm128518

Tenderloin porcini ..us Angus tenderloin beef in porcini mushroom
Sauce , with potato confit, spinach & carrot purée ... Sounds great right? I got medium well
& they served me a tough piece of meat that looks like a rock .. I called the attention of the manager and Jonathan apologizes profusely in behAlf of the chef and offer to replace my order... And what came out next was more better ... Tender on the outside .. slightly red in the inside ... Much better 9786️... But it's not awesome ... Just passable IMO

Desserts:
We got the banana soufflé ... Comes with the vanilla filling & banana ice cream with banana chips .. In a fancy plating .. Ice cream is home made Jonathan mentioned .. Soufflé is moist enough, filling not too sweet.. I like it9786

Chocolate sampler... Was told this is their top seller ... Love the plating again.. Lava cake is the usual outer chocolate slightly bitter just balances the soft melting sweetness inside.. A chocolate milk bar that somewhat melts in ur mouth.. Chocolate Ice cream and vanilla ice cream with nut chunks ... A good ender ...

Had mid-board review dinner with my medschool friends here.

I don't even know where to begin. I loved everything. Everything was delicious, wonderful, and satisfying.

For starters, we had the Salmon Carpaccio, Baked Oyster Rockefeller, Crostini Sampler, and Trio Tartar. I especially loved the Cheese Salmon Gravlax with Creme Fraiche & Lumpfish Caviar from the Crostini Sampler. It was like a party in my mouth. 128538 The oysters were beautiful as well. Perfectly cooked and fresh!

I had the Roasted Chillean Sea Bass as my main, and it was perfect. The fish skin was nice and crispy while the meat was sweet and tender with truffle beurre blanc notes. It came with ricotta spinach ravioli which I loved as well. My friends had the Grilled Prawns, the Norwegian Salmon Cocotte, and Octopus Salsa Verde, and they all loved everything as well. Was not able to try each others' food because we were so happy and attached to our plates. 128525

Then dessert came, and I mistakenly thought my night wasn't going to get any better after that heavenly sea bass.

We had the Dark Chocolate Pastry stuffed with Bailey's Chestnut Ice Cream and Caramel Sauce (which was my favorite and is thus the picture above), the Chocolate Sampler (which was also wonderful on all possible gastronomical levels), the Peach Baked Alaska, the Banana Souffle, and the Creme Brulee.

Everything was accompanied by some delicious red wine which they aerate table side as this opens up the wine, releases its flavors and makes it more balanced. I really don't understand wine, but that was just what they told me. LOL.

Everything was wonderful, and I'd love to come back and try the other things in the menu because I bet they are all so perfect as well! 128522

We heard from a friend that this place had good food. Since we were in Greenbelt already and looking for a place to grab dinner, we decided to check it out.

Ambiance is nice, not too bright not too dark (Lighting for me is a big deal. I don't like very bright indoor areas.)

We ordered the arugula and spinach salad, grilled tanigue with tomato salsa and baby back ribs. We ordered the single serving of salad which was good enough already for 2. The grilled fish was a complete meal already with rice and broccoli. It was pretty good. The baby back ribs came with French fries and I heard was okay.
