I like eating at Zuppa because they have light meals that go well with my diet. One of my favorite is their Sausage Egg Wrap. It has onions, tomatoes and sausage in it, with a slice of bread and potatoes. The egg wrap is tasty and well seasoned but the sides are annoying. The butter in the bread is just like a stain on it, so little! And the potatoes are soaking, dripping in oil. I hope the owner gets to read this and eventually make some changes.

I'm giving 4 stars for Zuppa because basically they have all the food I want to eat like sandwich, salad and egg wraps. I've had their egg wraps and they're good.

Tried their roasted chicken sandwich and it was just fine. There wasn't much chicken on it and the mayo was apparently of a cheap quality, I'd rather have the sandwich without it. And I would just want to complain about their potato wedges because seriously they serve it soaking in cooking oil. So bad. Hence the 3 stars.

The menu here certainly looks interesting! On my first visit, I tried the Tofu Mushroom Rice (P135 I think) which had a nice sweet sauce to go with the shiitake mushrooms. The servings were just enough and I almost finished the rice (buttered rice?) and had to restrain myself. The Beef Bagoong and Salpicao look good, also the Seafood. I'll try that next time.

Today I was going for a light lunch and got the Mushroom and Cheese Egg Wrap at P75. It was basically an egg omelet with a piece of toast and trying hard mojo potatoes. It was ok but I think the rice meals here are the stars on the menu :)

Prices are below P150 for regular meals, the place is quite small with limited elbow and bag room...but this is a university setting so expect it. I wonder how the Eastwood branch looks like....

I'll be visiting again when I need a rice fix :)

I'm trying to explore more of the Manila specially the Taft Area.

We wanted to have a bing-so from Cafe de Seoul, unfortunately they were under maintenance so it's closed! We ended up here at zuppa cafe.

I had a Bulgogi Gogo, it was good but too spicy for me, i finished it though. The beef is tender, the serving of the rice is quite big but not the beef.

My friend had the Oh Tokyo, The meat tasted more like a bulgogi than the one I had. Hahaha!

Another friend had a Chicken Masala, it was okay, the chicken was tender and it was so saucy.

Uhm, if your more familiar at Taft, could you recommend some good places for me :)

It's literally maple and bacon. Should have gotten a rice meal instead. Flavor is okay but I felt like I was robbed when I saw that there were only 1.5 slices of bacon. Mind you, the slices were small haha!

Banana Nutella. Banana smothered with Nutella in between two french toast pieces. Nothing great. It's something IMO cooks can do better at home. As you can see, one piece was a little burnt.. 128563 I was gonna deduct a star for this but it didn't taste bad, so..

Had their Beef Salpicao during the peak of my fever last Thursday. Wasn't really feeling up to eating so my boyfriend ate most of it. I only had three bites. Good thing my taste buds were alive and kicking cause I got to taste the flavorful garlicky beef strips and garlic rice. It costs around 125-135 pesos. This will definitely make your money's worth cause the serving is big.

Today I had lunch in Zuppa with my friend. We both got the Salpicao and shared the Onion Rings. Zuppa for us is somewhere to eat if we're extremely hungry. That's cause there's a huge amount of rice that goes with all the dishes. Probably two cups of rice even. There are a lot to choose from and all are equally good. They also serve breakfast and sandwiches. The serving is forever big in Zuppa. Whatever dish it may be.

Since it was lunch time there were quite a number of people but the service was still great. I definitely enjoyed my meal. It was actually my first time to finish a whole serving. I usually couldn't cause it's a lot. Hahah! But I was hungry so I was able to finish everything. I even had space for Onion rings (talk about 128061128061) Hahah!

There are two branches of Zuppa I know, one here in Taft inside Archers and one in Eastwood cybermall. You guys should try it out!

Try their Thai bagoong rice. Its tasty and a breath of fresh air compared to other dishes. Though, it used to be more salty and had bigger servings at first. Now, it's more sweet and has a smaller size of serving. :)
