The ambiance is really good. It is one of the nicest place in White Beach to eat and just hangout. The staffs are very nice and accommodating.
And the foooood.. The taco was one of a kind. We enjoyed every bite. And the Mati Sin lava cake!! Heaven! They also gave us free churros which we devoured instantly. We will definitely come back. And I hope they branch out in Manila real soon.

Someone to lava.10084

My main purpose when traveling is to EAT of course.128055 To be able to see the places is just secondary.128514

Came here for dessert.

For the place, it has a very very chill vibe. The place is just small and it's not packed when we came. Hotel is located upstairs and they had a pretty good playlist.

For the food we only got the lava cake. Also known as Mati's Chocolate sin. I like the fact that it's not too sweet. It is served with vanilla ice cream and some form of custard. We also tried their leche flan. Not too sweet also but it's not that silky. I liked it but I would say that other lava cakes are better. I am willing to try some of their food as well.128076🏻 My friend said that their paella was good.

This dessert took almost 30 minutes to be served. We were the only customer that time, so definitely it was not because of a jam packed orders in the kitchen. I was too tired to ask the server why due to the very tiring activities we had earlier that day and I just need something to boost me till night.

Finally, our dessert has arrived. I took my first bite and Mati Chocolate Sin is worth the wait! Imagine the freshly baked luscious chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream on the side. Ugh! Making this review made me salivate and wish that they have branches here in Manila. 128557128557128557

The Brothers with me loved the grilled seafood mix, tapas, favada, callos. I just tried the garlic pasta and removed the clams. Kinda small place but enough to handle the foot traffic and the prices are not so prohibitive.

It took more than 15 mins to serve this, and I admitted that its not that appealing when my eyes first laid on them..Unexpectedly finished them all in less than a minute. They all blended so well.128525 The hotness of the cake, coldness of ice cream, chocolatey, creamy not so sweet goodness. I will go back, over and over again.128540

They were not kidding when they said Zuzuni's had the best choco lava cake in existence. I mean, for a dish called "Mati Chocolate Sin," how could you not expect it to blow your senses away?

Do you know that "mati" in Greek is called "evil eye?" So translated roughly, it's an evil eye chocolate sin. 128563 Do they want to make it sound like it's bad for you?

For Php 290 each plate, it was a bargain, because you get 2 pieces of cake on a plate, plus 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream, and 2 dollops of custard. 128525

The outer shell made this delicious but subtle cracking sound, which announced the appearance of the gooey chocolate lava that oozed out. The lava was not shy, it did not need any prodding. It wasn't too thin and it didn't hurry out like a stampede; it was thick and slow, like a purposeful procession.

It all just fit together: the crispy outer shell that was moist like a brownie when you bit into it; the warm, thick and glorious chocolate lava that tamed the coldness of the ice cream; the smooth custard that added another texture to the explosive sweetness of this chocolate sin.

Not really the best option for dessert during the Holy Week, but it granted me a glimpse of heaven, that's for sure. 128124 Maybe it's a misnomer to call this dessert a sin; I'm sure God allows this sort of bliss in heaven. 128522

Mati Chocolate Sin.

I liked it although not necessarily coming back for another go. Probably best left to the real chocolate die hards. Yummy though.
